Learning to Live, Love, and Lie

I am a math nerd.
I can usually be nearly obnoxiously loud, but I have my quiet moments.
I am a realist, so I see both the optimism and the pessimism in every situation.
I am a terrible speller.
I am a great liar and lie quite a lot.
I love the little things in life and what they mean.
I miss the girl with the biggest smile in the world
RIP Amanda
I love to laugh.
I am a little kid on the inside.
I love singing and acting (and dancing too).
I love my friends to infinite and beyond and more then that, more then I can say.
I am down to earth and be brutally honest.
I love you.
You are beautiful.
And I am trying to figure out life - the living, the loving, and the lying.

stanzasofserotonin:

Pressure makes diamonds
So I guess that explains you
At least when personality began
And potential shined through

Cuz we all start as carbon
Infinitely different paths lie ahead
We’re molded by our losses, our wins,
And the lives that we’ve led

And sometimes we yield
To the forces around
And we don’t think to wield
What will help us rebound

But pressure and force
Don’t have to be in vain
If you redirect the course
Of your personal lane

You are a diamond in so many ways
You took your grief and grew up much stronger
And by reflecting the light of your close friends’ gazes
When most fades away you’ll exist for far longer

You’re a diamond and you always will be
Keep shining on, you’re inspiring me.

Yay carbon!

And Katie - this is truely beautiful - I had liked it when you had published it and reread it just now and it’s amazing!

26-Something you are working on right now:

Coming up with a topic for an econ presentation with Michael (which is why it has taken me so long to finish these questions lol) - some of our topics have gotten rather nerdy and strange at this point (and I suck at coming up with topics) although we have a few good ones we’re considering

42-What you want to be when you “get older”?

loving despite having knowledge and an understanding people and the world

44-What is your ideal career?

one where I am not stuck behind a desk and get to actively participate but I get to think and come up with new ideas and help people that I want to get up every morning to go to but doesn’t hog my entire life so I can be with family and friends

(I have yet to figure out what that is - a professor maybe?)

76-What is your favorite word?

I had one last year but I can’t remember what it is!

So I thought about it today and came up with “laughter” - it rolls nicely though the mouth - going though the upper soft pallet at the beginning (so it’s high) and then moves to the front of the mouth (lower) by the end and the meaning is great and happy and the whole word just tinkles like a bell

194-What’s something you can see yourself going to jail for?

espionage

198-If you were an element on the Periodic Table, which would you be and why?

Well I took an element personality quiz and got Carbon

which I kind of like

it’s very versatile, and shows up in many forms but considered to be boring

And I just like the fact it can be diamonds, is made in stars, is the basis for life on earth, its pure form exists in nature, is generally non toxic but can be harmful, and has the highest melting and sublimation points of any element!

plus 6 is half of one of my favorite numbers (yes, I really just said that)

110-Who is your most loyal friend?

My best friends are all amazingly loyal to me - I think - we’ll see this summer/next year, but I’m not worried :)

But I might have to go with my friend Taylor from Maryland - she still puts in so much effort for us to stay in touch, even when I don’t.

114-Have you ever felt replaced?

yeah - actually this year I have felt a bit replaced by one of my closest friends

153-What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you?

let me fall asleep on their shoulder

199-If you had to delete one year of your life completely, which would it be?

2007 - I was bullied, I had to deal with getting ready to move to California in January 2008 (which I thought would be terrible), one of my best friends moved to Minnesota, and I found out one of my best friends from kindergarten/elementary school had cancer
